About Me
I'm Laura and I am a contract shepherd. I live in Scotland.
I own pedigree Shetland sheep. Apart from sheep dogs I enjoy digital photography (yep, you guessed it, mainly taking photographs of sheep dogs!).
I mainly work on my own so my dogs have got to help me as much as possible to enable the sheep work to be done efficiently. My aim is to breed working dogs with the qualities I need as a shepherd.

I started running my dogs in Open Sheep Dog Trials in 2004 and the bug has definitely "bit". I have two dogs which I am running at the moment, Ffion and Mist. Both bitches are very reliable outrunners, good at spotting sheep and always try their best although are held back by their handler! Ffi and I won our first Open in 2006.
My dogs are all mainly merles. My first Border Collie, Loeki, was a blue tri merle and I've aquired the others after I had him. Merle is my favourite colour, but I would never keep a substandard dog just because I liked it's appearance.
