Langburn Mop 636

Langburn Tom 36 x Meg

P Moore

Born 20 April 07

I am really pleased at how Mop is progressing. Without much training at all she is already going both ways, keeping off most of the time and walking on nicely most of the time. She looks like she is going to train really quickly.

There is some more information about Mop's training on my Shepherd's Blog

Mop has a lot more class than I expected for a Bearded Collie, however she has plenty of power and push too. She has been to sheep about 5 times in this photo and this was the first time I imposed what I wanted on her, and made her go to the left which she did.

8 months of age.

6 months.

T

Gathering speed.

Mop is a very sweet bitch with a huge personality. She is now trying to go round sheep. She is very fast and keen and occasionally shows a bit of eye.

In this video I am leaving Mop to work to her own devices. I do try to get her to go left but it's not something I will worry about until she is ready to train. I am just taking her to sheep to see her natural inclinations. Each time I've had her out (no more than 4 times) she has tried harder to keep the sheep together and hold them to me. I think she looks very promising.

Mop is a working Bearded Collie.

I think Mop wants something but I'm just not sure what she's trying to say. Mop says thats what happens when you come to a place where they only speak Border Collie.

Mop's Mum on her way home from work!
